Godfrey Map Number 94.10. This map fits to the right of the map of Hindley 1907 ( Code 3904) and above Hindley Green 1906 (Code 3988). The whole map shows plots of farm lands, all fenced off, with a number designated in each plot. There are a few houses along Sandy Lane, Hindley Rd., Alder Lane, Atherton Rd., and Swan Lane. It includes some industry: Hindley Green Mills (Cotton), Eatock’s Colliery, Brookside Colliery, Swan Nut & Bolt Works, a Hospital (Infectious Diseases) on Sandy Lane.
