This is an earlier edition of the Heaton Norris 1916 map (Code 3375). In many areas houses were not there, and was mainly farmland. In particular, Queens Drive, Thornfield Rd., Kings Drive and Heaton Moor Rd. on the left side of the map, terraced houses were not there. Also there were changes in Parsonage Rd. and adjoining roads in the top centre of the map. To the right of the map there was no terraced houses off Sutton Rd., Heaton Rd. and Ashburn Rd. The map shows Heaton Moor (part), Heaton Mersey (part), St.Paul’s Church, Barnes Home Industrial School, Methodist Chapel & Sunday School on Heaton Moor Rd., L.& N.W.R. Stockport & Guide Bridge Railway, Britania Mill (Cotton) & All Saints Church on Manchester Rd., Christ Church & School on Wellington Rd., Heaton Norris Foundry (Iron & Brass). Buildings are coloured Red, roads Beige, water Blue. On the reverse side of the map is a list of residents extracted from Kelly’s Directory of Cheshire 1898.
