Godfrey Map Number 108.04. This map fits below the map of Newton-le-Willows 1906 (Code 3612). It shows terraced houses on either side of Victoria Road and Wargrave Road on the left side of the map. There is a small housing estate around the Newton Paper Mills to the right at the top of the map. The remainder of th map is farmlands with a few wooded areas. It includes: Earlstown Engineering Works, Victoria Inn, Emmanual Church, Vulcan Foundry (Locomotive Works), Newton in Makerfield Cemetery, Sankey Brook, L. & N.W.R Winwick and Earlstown Railway. On the reverse side of the map there is a list of residents extracted from Kelley's Directory of Lancashire, 1906 etc.
