This map fits below the map of Moston 1933 (Code 3138) with maps of Harpurhey & Collyhurst to the left, Failsworth on the right and Clayton below. Well populated across the centre with mainly terraced housing on either side of Oldham Rd., Church St., Culcheth Lane and Droylsden Rd. On the outskirts above and below is open lands. It includes: Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway Cos Carriage & Wagon Works & Hollinwood Branch Lines, Rochdale Canal, Spring Valley Dye Works, various cotton mills, Failsworth Tannery, St. Mary’s RC Church & Burial Ground, All Saints Church & Graveyard on Droylsden Rd., Electrical Engineering Works on Heath St. This coloured version shows houses & buildings in red, waterways in blue and roads in yellow. On the reverse side of the map is a list of residents on Oldham Road from Miles Platting to Failsworth with odd numbers 161 to 867 and even numbers 182 to 844 (fron Slaters Directory 1917)
