This data is presented in PDF format. In the early 19th century Scottish emigrants to England founded churches based on the Presbyterian system of the Church of Scotland. By 1876 these churches formed the basis of the Presbyterian Church of England. Many Scots arriving in England looked for a Presbyterian church and so the records are a valuable source of information in the search for Scottish Strays or for non-Scots who were non-conformists.

This file contains surviving records from the Manchester Presbytery. The first two documents are transcripts of surviving communion and baptismal rolls.

The Communion Rolls in most cases show when someone joined the church, and from whence they came; their addresses; and, if they left, where they went.

The baptismal Rolls are detailed giving the maiden name of the mother, the occupation of the father as well as date and place of birth.

In addition to the rolls, the file contains images of a number of Church magazines and Annual Reports which give an insight into the lives of the members.

The data is presented as an Adobe Acrobat file.
