God's Own - First Salford Pals 1914-1916

This book is intended as a memorial to the original volunteers of the 15th (Service) Battalion, Lancashire Fusiliers, which was virtually destroyed on 1st July 1916, part way through the First World War.

Using eye witness accounts, the assault on Thiepval is described and casualties are listed by memorial or by cemetery.

Part Two is an A-Z listing of all the original Pals who served between 1914 and 1st July 1916.
