[2Mb File] The disruption to society caused by the Great War resulted in considerable numbers of eligible voters being absent from their homes in the run up to the 1918 General Election. The absent voter list for the Borough of Oldham contains 14,514 names and against each, the person’s normal address and the electoral ward and district within which they were registered to vote.
