A scanned copy of the original baptism registers 1850-1922 complete with a transcript of the 11,583 baptisms performed and an index to the 52,307 names of children, parents and godparents which appear in the register.

St Mary Mulberry Street (1850-1922

Manchester’s second Catholic chapel, opened 1794 in the Deansgate district. The church collapsed in 1835 and was initially repaired but was then fully demolished in 1847 with the present church by Weightman and Hadfield being opened in 1848. The church has faced closure on several occasions but has always survived and is now nicknamed The Hidden Gem. Registers for Baptisms 1794-1850, Marriages 1831-1836 and Burials 1816-1825 & 1832-1837 have also been published on CD by the Catholic FHS.
